Lakisha Collins-Bellamy

Biography

Lakisha Collins-Bellamy, Esq., an attorney and lifelong resident of Yonkers, is the first African-American and Woman of Color to be elected President of the Yonkers City Council. Lakisha has been in public service for nearly two decades. Presently, she works as an Attorney for the Municipal Housing Authority for the City of Yonkers. Lakisha also maintains her own law practice, The Collins Firm, LLC, where her legal team focuses on family law and real estate.

Lakisha Collins-Bellamy is a graduate of Roosevelt H.S. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at New Paltz, a Masters degree in Public Administration from Marist College and a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School. Lakisha served as a Trustee on the Yonkers Board of Education and is a member of several civic and community-based organizations. She stands poised to continue serving the residents of the City of Yonkers.
