The growing burden of unfunded mandates and municipal expenses cannot simply be placed on the backs of our taxpayers. John believes that a business approach to governing should be taken. We must take a strategic approach to increasing revenue. Attracting large employers to the City of Yonkers builds a foundation for a future tax base and creates jobs for our unemployed. This must accompany holding the line on reckless spending. As a City Council person, John will represent the taxpayers of Yonkers. John will bring a strategic business approach to governing and will work with City Leaders to ensure we have a plan that does not only address current needs but the needs of our next generation of Yonkers residents and families.
John was selected with a bi-partisan vote to be the Chairman of the newly created Commerce and Smart Growth Committee and the Environmental Policy and Protection Committee; issues that are very important to John.
John and his wife Dawn, also a Yonkers native, live off of McLean Avenue with their two children, Dominic and John.
